Books Are Shipping!
Finally, after much longer than I ever expected, The Man from Mittelwerk is on its way. The publication date is September 6 and books should be on their way shortly thereafter.
Audiobook Complete
We hired voice actor Jonathan Strait after auditioning half a dozen voice professional narrators. Jonathan brought the book to life in a way that really brought the emotion front and center.
What is Mittelwerk?
After the Allies bombed Wernher von Braun’s rocket factory, the Nazis relocated operations to an abandoned gypsum mine that became Mittelwerk.
Operation Paperclip
More than 1,600 German scientists, engineers and doctors were recruited to the US as part of Operation Paperclip.
Venona Project
The Venona Project was a joint US / British counter-intelligence operation aimed at decrypting secret Russian intelligence cables during and after World War II.
Alternate Titles
During the course of working on this book, it went through a number of different titles. I created a few fake book covers in tribute to those ideas.
Cover Mock-ups
I decided to create some mock-up covers inspired by some of our favorite authors and vintage paperback publishers.
